Reservation Information and Release of Liability
By paying the deposit to Imperial Expedition, you agree to read all of Imperial Expedition’s correspondence, materials, and trip information and to be bound by the terms and conditions of these materials and as provided here by Imperial Expedition. All trip participants must complete the trip application, medical forms, and the Release of Liability and Assumption of All Risk Agreement. Strenuous trips and pre-existing medical conditions and/or medications for a preexisting condition require a physician's statement with comments and a physician’s signature on the second page of the medical form.
If you have any medical or psychological conditions, it is very important that you let us know well in advance of your departure so that we can make additional arrangements if necessary. Trip leaders have the right to disqualify anyone at any time during the trip if they feel the trip member is mentally or physically incapable of continuing and/or if a trip member's continued participation jeopardizes the group's or his/her own safety. Under these circumstances, refunds are not given.
Imperial Expedition is not a medical facility and therefore has no responsibility regarding medical advice, medications or inoculations that you or your doctor deem necessary for your safe participation. Hospital facilities for serious problems are often unavailable in remote areas, and evacuation or rescue operations can be prolonged, difficult and expensive. Imperial Expedition assumes no liability regarding provision of medical care. By signing the Release of Liability and Assumption of All Risk Agreement, you agree to pay for emergency evacuation and emergency medical care.
Your participation in this trip assumes certain obligations to Imperial Expedition and to the other trip members. It is your responsibility to: understand the conditions implied in your travel itinerary. You must select a trip (with the help of Imperial Expedition staff) that is appropriate to your interests and abilities. You must prepare for the trip by familiarizing yourself with the trip itinerary and trip preparation materials sent to you by Imperial Expedition. You must bring the appropriate gear and clothing as advised by Imperial Expedition staff. You must obtain all necessary visas for travel. You must follow considerate standards of personal hygiene in order to reduce the risk of contracting diseases. You must follow considerate social behavior with the other trip participants and respect their habits and mannerisms. You must act in an appropriate and courteous way befitting the customs of the countries you visit. You must respect the countries in which you are traveling by using environmentally safe products, staying on established routes or trails and not littering.
Imperial Expedition reserves the right to decline, reject or detain any tour participant should such a person's behavior, health or mental condition impede the operation of the trip.
Our Legal Limitations - Please Read Carefully
Imperial Expedition may contract with independent contractors to provide transportation, guide services and/or all other related travel services. We assume no responsibility, however caused, for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service provided by an independent contractor or resulting directly from the following: acts of God, severe weather events, earthquakes, unavoidable accidents, detention, annoyance, terrorism, theft, pilferage, chance occurrence, civil disturbances, government restrictions or regulations, strikes, political demonstrations, delays and expenses arising from quarantine, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, discrepancies or change in transit or hotel services over which we have no control. We reserve the right to make reasonable changes in the itinerary where deemed advisable for the comfort, safety and well being of our trip members. By paying your deposit to Imperial Expedition, you thereby agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
